The term “STEM”, is an acronym that stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and refers to a holistic learning model, based on an interdisciplinary approach that uses real world applications.
The definition of STEM training objectives is summarized as follows:
(a) create a literate society in the STEM approach,
(b) develop a labor force with 21st century skills
(c) promote advanced research and development with a focus on innovation.
21st century skills as a result of education are linked to computational thinking, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, facts that are also used in non-technological areas. Knowing how to deal with complex problems, dividing them into smaller stages and approaching them logically are critical skills in all areas of modern production.
